PTO
Parent Teacher Organization
is a group of parents working together to foster a sense of community and school spirit by organizing social events and special programs for all students and families throughout the school. The PTO relies completely on parents’ involvement. Opportunities are for all families, of all ages, to participate in the fun activities available throughout the year, and each parent can decide the extent to which he/she would like to get involved. We look forward to hearing from you.
The World Academy PTO is All Inclusive
- All parents have full benefits.
- Each parent gets to decide their own level of involvement with PTO.
- Parents with children of any age, in any program at World Academy are welcome to join the PTO.

Successful Events
PTO Pizza
Children in grades K through 8 can enjoy pizza for lunch on Friday instead of bringing a brown bag lunch. Pizza is ordered from a local business in Nashua. Order forms and other information will be sent home in September.
Lego League
This group meets after school one day a week for 8 weeks (grades K-3). Children will create a design/ build project with the help of coaches and staff using gears and Legos. There is a minimal fee for participants. We are always looking for parent coaches. Keep an eye out for more information.
Bake Sale
Parents are asked to donate baked goods to sell usually the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. This is not your typical school bake sale. Wrap the items as an individual serving or bake a larger treat to bring for the whole family to share. Details will be sent home during early November.
Staff Appreciation Breakfast & Lunch
To thank our teachers and staff for all their hard work we treat them to a catered lunch and breakfast. This is a wonderful treat for our teachers and staff who enjoy the food that is served.
End of year Ice Cream Social
During the school day your child(ren) will enjoy ice cream and festivities to celebrate the end of the school year. The kids love this event.
*Any food being served to our children and staff must be peanut /nut free.
Yearly Events
Throughout the school year, the PTO organizes many events. The events bring our World Academy Families together for social events and special programs.
- PTO Pizza (every Friday- Sept. through June)
- Lego League
- Bake Sale (November)
- Staff Appreciation Breakfast and Lunch – Dec. / April
- End of year Ice Cream Social
Ongoing Fundraisers
Raising money for school-wide events goes on all year through the Box Tops for Education and the Labels for Education programs.
All you have to do is:
- Clip the labels off selected products.
- Place them in a clear plastic bag and write your child’s name, grade, and teacher’s name.
- Bring them into school and drop them in the box located in the front hallway.
Through the Box Tops program we get $.10 for every Box Top collected and a check written out to the school to use as we like for the school.
The Labels for Education program is fairly new to our school. The program runs on a point system. Each product has a label with a point amount. The school is able to redeem these points for items, i.e. gym equipment, musical instruments, computers and a lot more.
Classrooms will have competitions during the year and win prizes for the most collected.
