Infants through 8th Grade
Infants
The Infant program at World Academy is a year round, full day, five day a week program. Ratios are kept very small in this program, with a maximum room capacity of twelve, which allows our teachers to provide much one on one time with each child. Our teachers are the key to making the program a safe, nurturing environment that will enable your child to develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. The infant room is designed with your child's safety in mind. When an environment is safe, children can explore, test new skills and investigate their world without interference.

Older Infants
The Older Infant program at World Academy is a year round, full day program with the option to bring your child 2 to 5 days per week. Child to teacher ratios are small - with a maximum class size of ten to provide for optimum social interaction, while allowing the teachers much one on one time with each child. As in the Infant room, we allow the children to move freely without restricting them through the use of walkers, indoor swings or constant carrying. This free range of motion enhances their physical and mental development.

Toddlers
The Toddler program at World Academy is a year round, full day program with the option to bring your child 2 to 5 days per week. Child to teacher ratios are small - with a maximum class size of twelve to provide for optimal social interaction, while allowing the teachers much one on one time with each child. Toddlers come in all shapes and sizes! Some are a bit wobbly on two legs and are just beginning to explore the world from an upright position. Others have mastered walking and are now use running as their main way of transporting themselves all around the room.

Three Year Olds
The Pre-school 3 Program at World Academy is a year round, full day program with the option to bring your child 2 to 5 days per week. Child to teacher ratios are 8:1, with a maximum class size of sixteen. The pre-school program is as diverse in scope as the children enrolled in the program. The program is geared towards helping each child develop habits of observation, questioning, listening, and an awareness of feelings. The curriculum focuses on the right of each child to express those feelings in a positive manner by channeling them into appropriate means of expression.

Four Year Olds
The Pre-school 4 Program at World Academy is a year round, full day program with the option to bring your child 2 to 5 days per week. Child to teacher ratios are 11:1, with a maximum class size of twenty-two. The Pre-school 4 Program at World Academy is as diverse in scope as the children enrolled in the program. The program is geared towards helping each child develop habits of observation, questioning, listening, and an awareness of feelings. The curriculum focuses on the right of each child to express those feelings in a positive manner by channeling them into appropriate means of expression.

Kindergarten
The Kindergarten program at World Elementary School is a five day a week, full day program (8:45am - 2:30pm) with the option to extend the day with before and after school care. Child to teacher ratios are kept low at 18:1. All children enrolling in Kindergarten must be 5 years of age before October 1st of the current school year. If your child does not meet the minimum age requirements, we may consider early admission after the results of testing and a review by the Admissions Committee. Kindergarten at World Elementary reflects the notion that five-year-olds are vibrant, active, doers.

Elementary
World Elementary offers a low student to teacher ratio with a maximum class size of 18 students. Classes are conducted five days a week from 8:30am - 3:00pm with the option to extend the day with before and after school care Big Kids City. Based on the local Board of Education guideline, our curriculum has been expanded and enriched to offer your child more choices. Our goals are to foster physical, social, emotional, cognitive, language, math and creative development - all while enjoying school.

Middle School
Grades 4 through 8 feature an individualized, anti-biased, character-based curriculum rooted in peace education principles and life skill attainment. The World Schools is pleased to announce that our beautiful campus has expanded to include our Upper Elementary Annex! The Annex offers our older students in Grades 4 to 8 the opportunity to experience a middle school classroom model. The program is an in-depth, hands-on experience that addresses the individualized learning styles and intelligence levels of each child.

Camp
At The World School, we believe camp is an informal educational process devoted to learning strategies based on fun, play and action, which build personal competencies. Camp provides essential elements of sound youth development, along with structure and boundaries in which to explore and discover. Our programs nurture a child’s natural wonder of the world. This community called ‘camp’ is meant to be a launching pad for creativity, imagination and freedom – a place where the environment itself is the teacher.

Before & After School
Our Big Kids City program provides Grade 1 through 6 students with a safe and enjoyable before and after school environment. World Elementary students as well as students of Bicentennial, Main Dunstable and New Searles Elementary schools may participate in our Big Kids City program. Arts and crafts, computers, sports activities, games, sledding and ice-skating are available. Special activities based on the theme of the day/week are offered as well. Field trips are planned for vacation weeks and holidays to locales that include roller-skating, mini-golfing and the movies.
